Dennis Dorn spent 37 years teaching and working as a theater consultant, technical director, set designer, and is now a UW-Madison Professor Emeritus. He has co-authored two books: Drafting for Theatre, 2nd ed, and Technical Management for the Performing Arts. He is a USITT Fellow and a recipient of several major awards in the field of technical production. Still involved in USITT governing activities, locally he serves on the Middleton Planning Commission and on the Forward Theater Advisory Council.
Kelley Engle has spent most of her career with The Walt Disney Company currently in the area of enterprise learning. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communications/Public Relations with a Masters in Human Resource Development. Kelley is married to Tom and has three children that keep her very involved in the music and theatre scene in Madison.
David Joanis (President) graduated from the University of Wisconsin–LaCrosse in 1969. From 1969 to 1972, he was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1975 and was admitted to the Wisconsin bar in that year. He practiced family law in La Crosse from 1975 to 1991 and then moved to Madison where he practiced law at Balisle & Roberson, S.C. until 2016. He is now “Of Counsel” at Bell, Moore, and Richter. Over the years, David has performed with Children’s Theater of Madison, Madison Theatre Guild, and Strollers Theatre (all located in Madison, WI).
Tom Littrell is an education and training specialist at Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) and a member of the team responsible for developing ETC’s LED product line. In addition to lighting several productions for Four Seasons Theatre, he has also worked with Forward Theater, UW-Madison University Theatre, CTM, the Bartell Theatre participating companies, and Broom Street Theater, among others. In a sordid past life he toured with David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Genesis, and Led Zeppelin.
Originally from southern California, Steven Morgan is the former Director of Bands at Madison West High School (1997-2011), where he also taught guitar and music theory, and oversaw the jazz program. He earned Masters and Doctoral degrees from UW-Madison. Steve still performs regularly with jazz, rock, and musical theatre productions including Four Seasons and University Theatre. In addition to the Four Seasons board, he also serves on the Dane County Arts Commission (Dane Arts). He is married to Jane Morgan and has two very musical adult sons.
Jack Poulson has appeared in several productions with Four Seasons Theatre including Ragtime (Henry Ford), Miss Saigon, and Follies (Theodore Whitman). Jack has sung in the chorus of Madison Opera in over 20 productions over the past 30 years.
Diana Durkin Rahn (Treasurer) recently retired from her position as the Chief Deputy Clerk for the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. Diana is a native of Oregon, Wisconsin, and after working as a legal assistant and office manager for several years became the Chief Deputy Clerk in 1983. Diana is the mother of three and is married to a retired detective of the Madison Police force. Diana’s previous connection to theatre (other than enjoying performances) is having played Marion the Librarian in her high school production of The Music Man.
