Disney's The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, a teenage mermaid princess who longs to be human. After rescuing Prince Eric when he falls overboard during a storm, Ariel is immediately enamored. After discovering Ariel's predicament, the evil sea witch Ursula tries her into trading her voice for a chance to be human and fall in love. Ariel defies her mighty father, King Triton, to pursue Eric on land. But Ursula's bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Sebastian the crab, Flounder the fish, and Scuttle the seagull to restore order under the sea.
Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, our production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic animated film and generations of young singers who’ve been inspired to find their own voices by such tunes as “Part of Your World” and “Under the Sea.”
