Celebrating 22 years of Four Seasons Theatre!

Celebrating 22 years of storytelling through music and theatre, Four Seasons Theatre showcases local talent onstage and backstage in venues across Madison.

Four Seasons began in Fall 2004 as a dream of creating a company dedicated to producing musical theatre shows and workshops. Those conversations led to the development of a business plan and went from idea to reality with our first show, RAGTIME, a co-production with Middleton Players Theatre in Summer 2005.  In the past two decades we've produced 65 shows and offered hundreds of community outreach programs in libraries, retirements communities and schools.  We've also mentored countless high school and college students through technical theatre internships and crew positions where they're able to learn from and work side-by-side with professional designers, directors, and stage managers.

Through it all we've maintained our commitment to Madison audiences and Madison artists.  The people who make it all happen - backstage and onstage - are your friends, colleagues, and neighbors.  Your investment in FST - as a ticket buyer, as a donor, as a sponsor - is an investment in your community and we're grateful for that support.

We start the 2025-2026 with a celebration of the lush melodies and beautiful music with Rodgers & Hammerstein: From Book to Broadway.  We follow that with the return of The Hello Girls: A New American Musical and close out the season with readings of two new musical plays in our New Works: On Deck weekend.   All performances will take place in The Playhouse at Overture Center in Madison, WI.

Rodgers & Hammerstein: From Book to Broadway

October 24, 25 & 26, 2025 | Friday at 7:30 pm | Saturday & Sunday at 2 pm | The Playhouse at Overture

It’s easy to think of the Broadway songwriting team of Rodgers and Hammerstein as “classic” or “old-fashioned,” but when Rodgers and Hammerstein began to work together in 1943, they were radical. Together, they revolutionized what a Broadway musical could be. Four Seasons Theatre presents Rodgers and Hammerstein: From Book to Broadway, a program that explores the development of the “book” musical and how Rodgers and Hammerstein adapted books into musical plays.  This program features songs from such well-loved musicals as Carousel, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music.
