Come early and enjoy our special Pre-Show Events in The Playhouse at Overture!

During the holiday season, there are lots of fantastic arts events at the Overture Center, and that can make parking and ticketing a challenge for theater patrons. We encourage you to come downtown early and grab a bite to eat or enjoy a pre-show beverage. Avoid the crush and plan a little extra time for parking and picking up will-call tickets.

With a little extra care, you’ll arrive at the theater with time to spare, and ready to enjoy our production of Souvenir: A Fantasia of Florence Foster Jenkins. As an added incentive, we’ve planned pre-show events for several performances, starting onstage in The Playhouse 20 minutes before curtain.

Schedule:

Friday, Dec 7: Voice Recital by Madison Opera Studio Artist Kirsten Larson at 7:10 pm
Saturday, Dec 8: Pre-Show Talk by FST Producing Artistic Director Sarah Marty at 7:10 pm
Sunday, Dec 9: Pre-Show Talk by FST Producing Artistic Director Sarah Marty at 1:40 pm

Friday, Dec 14: Voice Recital by University Opera’s Matt Chastain at 7:10 pm
Saturday, Dec 15: Pre-Show Talk by FST Producing Artistic Director Sarah Marty at 7:10 pm
Sunday, Dec 16: Pre-Show Talk by FST Producing Artistic Director Sarah Marty at 1:40 pm

*Please note: There are no events before the Thursday evening performances.
